A 10th BirthdayCelebration
Ten years ago a little boy was born in Luzira women's prison and on Monday 20th September we cerebrated his tenth birthday to thanks God of his faithfulness. Fortunately Shafic has been taken on by Entebbe early learning school as it has been hard for his relatives to accept him or forgive his mother.
Like Shafic many children are born and live in prison with their
mothers, reaping them off the freedom to live in a free environment for the mistakes they do not know about. Baby Gloria and Little Surprises a project committed to building a home for these circumstantial victims tried their level best to make this a special day for Shafic.
Shafic was able to invite a few of his close friends, a birthday cake, presents,
entertainment from Baby Gloria and above all a special visit from his mother. Sadly though not much could be captured on camera but Shafic confirmed that every moment of this day was planted deep into his heart.
Later Shafic and his friends shared a meal with the other
prisoners' children in the day care section, a little Freedom for the
18 month to 3 years.
Gloria has dedicated the launch of her new gospel album to the Little
Surprises children's home in an effort to give these babies a chance of
growing in a normal loving environment away from the prison cells they
share with their mothers. Despite her tender age Gloria believes that
God given her a Gift that she should use to touch others.
